I have used the same weight the entire day. My weights are hand cast from a medium hard lead alloy. The pictures show various sizes. This coating has been rocky lake tested for 3 years.

These are made of lead. They are then vibrated for 3 hours with abrasives to round off sharp edges.

Then oven cured. Light and background conditions. Weights are approximate and will vary about a gram either way. It may dull over time, but it will not chip like the factory made ones.
